Dennis Allen may be a good defensive technician but man, he talks like a teacher explaining a low grade, a mechanic explaining a high repair bill, or a cop explaining a ticket he is writing. You don't sense passion or sincerity. You don't want to like him. You get the sense that he is carefully wording any statement, being very matter of fact and dry, to make it hard to argue even though you might want to argue it.

I get a totally different vibe. He does seem sincere and not like some coaches that are trying to sell you a used car. He seems more likeable that someone like Sean McVay, for example. McVay comes across as full of ****, or himself. Allen seems more genuine.

I feel that how a person is interpreted is more a factor of the person doing the reading than the person being read.

You’ve been trying to put lipstick on the same pig for two years already. It is interpreted by folks without rose colored glasses as two line lips moving that AINT saying anything.

I get the same impression and "technician" is a good descriptor.

While Dennis is the opposite of Sean McVay, it isn't a positive.

I'd take McVay's "attitude" as a HC over DA's any day.

And his record reflect it.

61% regular season. 63% in playoffs. 1-1 in the Superbowl.

I really despise the 'Boy Genius', but once again, numbers don't lie.
