So, you clear out what you consider to be the current mess. Then what? Who do you bring in to give you the championship caliber squad you so desperately want?

An you just can't wash your hands of it and say "Well, that's Mrs. Benson's problem to solve." If she had the capacity to solve that problem, then she would have done it. You are asking her to dismiss a leadership team that brought her and her husband (and us fans BTW) great joy by bringing a Championship to New Orleans. If it were easy, or even possible, to recreate the GM,HC,QB leadership squad that got a championship, don't you think that she, and 30 other teams in the NFL would do that?

Let's not forget that leadership team got to the top of the mountain once. That same group failed to reach the top 14 other seasons.

So, fine, get rid of Dennis Allen, Mickey Loomis, Dennis Lauscha, and even Mrs. Benson and all the players. But with no plan of how to fill that void, and I doubt that you have one, all of your complaining is really just a waste of time.

And none of this is wanting to settle for mediocrity. It's just operating in the reality that none of the above people will be going anywhere before the end of the 2024 regular season. So, it's just more productive to discuss what these people can do, instead of complaining about what they can't when there's absolutely nothing that be done about getting rid of any of them in the forseeable future.

What I want to hear from you:

Get rid of Dennis Allen. Replace him with ______________.
Carr has got to go. Draft/Trade/Sign for ________________.
Get rid of Mickey Loomis. Replace him with _____________.
Get rid of Lauscha. The new team president needs to be _____________.
Have Mrs Benson sell the team. Sell the team to ________________

But you don't even try to fill in the blanks. Clearly for a championship team you feel the need to replace these people. So, exactly who are they? Who out there is actually going to make the difference you are looking for?

BTW I don't have a clue to these blanks either. But like the others I'm hoping we can roll with the current squad and make some progress. Sometimes the injury bug stays home, units like the offensive line gels, and new system and new spark on the offensive side can make a difference. There is a reason that the NFL turns over a minimum of 6 playoff teams each and every year. Will that be the 2024 Saints? Maybe or maybe not. But unlike you, I'm not going to just walk away from the entire 2024 season because the personnel that's currently in place is absolutely not to your liking.

SFIAH
It’s not my job to fill in the blanks. If I ran my personal/professional business the way Gayle runs this one, my customers would come after me with pitchforks. My business runs smoothly and satisfactory enough (even on my shoestring budget), that I get to curl up on the couch on Sunday (and some embarrassing Thursday Nights) to hopefully watch some championship-level Football, played by multi millionaires, run by billionaires who don’t seem to give s rat’s a$$ about what I (or you) enjoy. So I drop in to vent to other fans about what I am (or am not) witnessing with a team that I have followed and rooted for for decades.

It’s too bad that that’s not what you want to hear from me.
You either get to hear me vent, or scroll on, or set me to IGNORE (almost like Quido LOL) until our team is owned by someone who cares about putting a winning professional football team on the field.

I wish we didn’t have to even have this conversation… but here we are… again.

Typical for you: "I don't know how to fix it, but I'm just going to complain until it's fixed."

You know damn well that if a customer of your business was as unhappy with you as you are with the Saints, they would simply go find another business to fill their needs.

Why don't you go do that? Go be a Chiefs fan. They have the organization you want and the championships you want. Then everyone can all be happy.

And I'm not going to ignore you. You are a pest. I'm just as committed to getting you to understand that we realize that the current iteration of the Saints are a work in progress and that nothing is going to significantly change in the next 6 months of the regular season. So, complaining about the composition of the organization, especially without any plan for correcting it (which you dodged exactly as I predicted), is a complete and utter waste of time.

You've been complaining for 2 years. Nothing about the Saints has changed in two years. So, all your complaining does is give everyone here a headache when all we want to talk about is Saints Football in whatever iteration we are operating in.

I've been going to Saints games and have been a Saints fan since 1972. I saw Archie. I was at the grand opening of the SuperDome. I've suffered the paper bag days, and the 1-15 season when the only team the Saints beat was the New York Jets one snowy Sunday in New York. I was there when the Saints won their first playoff game when Hakim dropped the ball. And followed the team after Katrina devastated the 2005 season. I sat my butt in Chicago in 2006 for the Saints first NFC championship game. And I sure celebrated when they finally won it all in 2009. And every season since up to and including last seasons 9-8 campaign.

This period is just a blip in my Saints history. And when folks keep saying that this iteration of the Saints is the worst they've ever seen, that just means they have not been around long enough to really understand what that means.

So, like Guido, and Rugs, and the others, I look at this season with an eye on improvement. This iteration of the Saints are not going 16-1, #1, NFC championship game and Super Bowl win. But if they can continue to make progress, that makes the season worth watching.

Still waiting for your list of replacements. Since you figure you can complain your way to a championship team, you can also advise Mrs. Benson on exactly how to do that too.

Since I don't read posts by the sinner guy I'm responding to your quoting reply, SFIAH.

If I am not mistaken our current leadership has one of the most winning franchises over the past couple of decades. This just shows us all how void of sense to which most of these hater flunkies have been afflicted.

But, great advise, SFIAH! They need to go move their "fandom" to a team that has all of the boxes which they claim to require being checked. Believe me, NONE of us would miss miss them one iota. Regardless of what they may claim they were most likely never a fan of the Saints until they won it all and now turn to hate when it hasn't quickly happened again.

If they do choose to move on all I can say is don't let that door hit you in the ass. There's plenty of real fans looking to enter that swinging door.

“hasn’t quickly happened again” … since 2010. That’s FOURTEEN YEARS.
But then again, the above quote is coming from a guy who is quoted as saying,
“Winning championships is not the goal”…

very similar to the beginnings on this Saints organization. We have become the "farm" team of the NFL again.

MEMO: I am a FAN. NOT in a position to fix anything or even offer ideas about how to fix anything. That’s all above my pay grade (by millions of miles and dollars). My job is to be as pissed off as I want, until my team wins. There are multi millionaires taking Quido’s money who are in charge of fixing this. I’m here to vent about how they are failing to do so. If you can deal with another lackluster season from our Saints, you can deal with me being pissed.

But why do you feel the need to come here and talk about being pissed? Go make your own fan haters site: blackandgoldsux.com or dennisallensux.com and you and all the other people here drinking the hateraid on a regular basis can complain to your hearts content and leave the rest of us who want to talk about Saints football here in the real world alone.

The bottom line is that you a disruptive here. There cannot be a single solitary post about anything going on with the Saints without you coming on and crapping all over it because you are pissed. So, instead of getting what you want, which is for everyone to be pissed with the Saints administration, all you get is everyone being pissed with you. We are not going to redirect our anger at how you treat this site. You are causing it because you won't shut up, and you won't leave. So, my only frustration is with you personally.

I really don't care if you are pissed or not. And dealing with you from now on is calling you out on every post you make until you, personally, outline how the Saints are going to meet your vision. You're not going to be able to come here, spew your hatred, and then hide you hands behind "It's not my job to figure it out. I'm pissed and somebody needs to fix it."

So, until you can give a set of concrete steps that the organization needs to take to fix this to your satisfaction with specific personnel to get the job done, I will keep asking the question.

Who replaces the people you want gone? Name names. Explain their vision. Show how that vision gets it done.

There are a couple of teams recently that have done what you want. The 49ers brought in John Lynch and Kyle Shannahan. Or the Detroit Lions bringing in Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell. Both have made progress. But there are zero championships between them since the Saints won in 2009.

The inept front office of the Saints clearly cannot make the moves you want to get the championship you are so desperate for. So, help them out and outline exactly who nees to get hired to get this done.

You're not just a fan, you are a complainer. You can see the problem. You complain about the problem. So, you need to fix the problem.

Take all the time you need. I'll wait.

How about I DO ME and YOU DO YOU? Let’s start from there. Meanwhile, the Niners will do what they do, the Lions will do what they do… and as long as my Saints keep doing what they do (or don’t do), I’ll complain as much as I need to.

If my complaining bothers you more than us not even being able to win the NFC SOUTH, you best set me to IGNORE. It worked wonders for Quido. 😜

I can't do me because of you. You disrupt every conversation on this site spewing your bile about how the organization is crappy and everyone needs to be fired. Then when called upon it to say "I'm a fan. It's not my problem to fix it."

And you well know that setting you to ignore is a complete waste of time. Every time anyone posts here, you follow it up. And someone is going to quote you. You are everywhere and that's the problem.

I gave you a suggestion a while ago. Have one single hateraid/fire allen/loomis thread where you can complain to your heart's content and anyone who truly wants to ignore you can simply not read the thread. Of course you rejected the idea because your objective is to inflict maximum damage upon every user of this site because the Saints can't satisfy you. BTW note that I identified a problem and proposed a solution, which is more than you have ever attempted.

The name of this thread is "Reasons to be positive." You have exactly zero positive thoughts about the Saints as currently constructed. And yet, here you are. And that's because you don't want anyone anywhere on this site to say anything other than the Saints are terrible and Allen needs to be fired.

And that's now why me doing me is following up after you. You've identified the problem. Now fix it. Who do you put in these positions so that the Saints can be the team you want them to be? A list of candidates for GM/HC/Owner/President of Football operations/QB/OC and DC would be a good start.

Still waiting on that list. And I'm not taking your lame excuse that you are just a fan and fixing it isn't your problem.

I'm not going into Training Camp, Preseason, and the Regular Season for another year with these truckfulls of horse manure from you in every thread. So, you just don't get to do you here anymore unchecked.

I want to have civil conversations here about the team I follow with people who at least hope that the team can make some progress this year. You are an impediment to that. So, add that to your list of things you need to fix.

If you can’t do you because of me, you’ve got bigger problems than our beloved Saints having another lackluster year, and that’s less of my responsibility to “fix” than trying to fix the Saints. We can certainly have a civil conversation about REALITY, but I don’t do Kumbaya. That’s just me. Again, if you can deal with another year of Dennis Allen on our sidelines, you can deal with my complaining about it (among other things). Gonna be a long season. Stocking up on low dose aspirin and cigs for sure.
