this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I dunno - the Patties didn\'t have a spectacular year last year... he needs to rebound. $10 million worth of safeties might be a glaring misuse of funds if they don\'t do well this year... that combined with Bledsoe continuing ...

I don\'t know. If I\'m Billy Boy, I dump Jones.

The Patriots are going to eventually let TB go cuz they are high on re-signing Victor Green for less.

Gatorman, did I get you with my APRIL FOOL JOKE? Seriously, I read this somewhere before they signed Rodney Harrison. If I find it again I will post it for you

I think The Vikings, Arizona and Carolina would be interested in Jones. All have 3rd rds picks ahead of the saints, To get thier 2nd we might have to give one of our 5ths or GB\'s
4th. As far as the pats keeping all 3 safeties what you have to be awre of is that the Pats run what they call the big nickel. Instead of a OLB that plays the pass, they are 3 safeties on the field. BB thinks it helps disguise the coverage. Yes the Pats are still interested in Green and we have the right to match any offer he gets. So when or if Jones is traded BB can still run the big nickel. |

Come on Patman, I know you love your team but with the situation they\'re in with the cap do you think they would match an offer for Victor Green? All of this will be settle in the draft an New England will come to their senses, but will it be to late? Hmmm....I\'ll take my chances on TJ being release and just to tick off New England I\'ll offer Victor Green a contract to hurry this situation.
To make this possible I\'ll waive Jay Bellamy bring in Victor Green and draft a good free safety(Rasheen Mathis) in this draft. If we get lucky to pick up TJ when New England cut him, just slide mathis into corner. |

What situation are we in. As of right now we are 2.5 under the cap with 65 players signed. Compton at 1.75 mil and Vrabel who will be replaced by Colvin counts 1.65 M.
Milloy\'s contract is due for an option bonus to trigger the last three years of his contract next spring, if this option is taken his salary is above 5 mill. Jones only wants about 3 per year. Jones could be signed long term to team with Harrsion. Jones has no said one bad thing about the pats. He grew up and is building multi-milion dollar house 75 miles from the stadium. Go ahead an sign Green to a contract what does that do? |

sign green to a 2 year deal. draft a good safety and that solves our problem, dont have to give up a pick in the 3rd round and that would allow us to draft more depth at any position possibly picking up a steal in the draft i.e. RB dominick davis LSU
