My understanding is that the owner of the Panthers is some kind of venture capital guy and he only bought the Panthers because there was a craze going on with NFTs at the time and he thought he could make all his money back quick by auctioning gifs of the team. Bryce Young was supposed to be the next bored ape. When NFTs crashed he lost interest for awhile and is now buying a bunch of NVidia GPUs and using the teams practices to train AI to make a virtual football league. As for the team itself they are like Sears, KMart, Toys R Us, the object is to cut costs and extract everything and declare bankruptcy after a couple 0 win seasons. He also owns a seafood wholesaler and the Panthers are considering offering an unlimited shrimp promo on gamedays that may be a loss leader but will help his other business move inventory. They may even rename the team the Carolina Shrimps to try to go viral on tiktok.
