A dominant performance for the Saints. A whopping if you will... Alvin Kamara, Derek Carr, Shaheed, Olave, and so many more with amazing performances on offense. The defense was effective everywhere.

What are your thoughts??

I mentioned it a few times in the game day thread but the O LINE was good & nasty. Bully 🏈 ball. Play calling was also exceptional.

I expected the defense to bring it. They are solid.

Total domination against a good team today on the road.

Impressive win, keep it up.

After we beat the iggles next week the Saints will have every team’s attention ; no flying under the radar like we did in 09.

Three HUGE NFC games coming up in the next 4 weeks. Two important division games and the Eagles next week (they will probably be in the playoff hunt).

Stay focused. Stay hungry. Stay humble. Stay smart.

The O line is for real ya'll!

We threw a lot of stuff at them today but I'm sure we've got a lot more in the bag.

Dennis's D compliments KK offense beautifully.

Honestly such a great win, made all the sweeter because Dallas talked **** all week.

They had absolutely no answer for our offense. Micah Parsons gave up and just stood on the sideline.

Adebo bounced back from a Shakey 1st quarter and made some crucial plays.

O line - I was very worried and they didn't allow a sack.

My only very slight negative, Bryan Bresee needs to start finishing plays. He has such incredible moves to get through the blocks, but then he always seems to cling to Jerseys and let's them escape the grasp.

Leaving on vacation tomorrow and what a great flight it’s gonna be. What an awesome win. Reminded me of the 2006 beatdown we put on Big D with drew and company. Looking forward to Philly which I thought would be our measuring stick game because of our recent history against them. I think this is the team that can take Hurts and company down. Really looking forward to my trip to KC in a few weeks. Keep it up Who Dats. Fill that dome next week.

Before I saw your post, I was thinking pretty same thing.

Saints played 4 grtrs of football. Smart focus. Both offense and defense.
Momentum.
No resting after half- time.

No, they might not win every week.
No team does, but getting out there with minimum turnovers, no rookie mistakes, focus…give it their all. All fans ask for.

Saints had such a big lead and kept it.

Another topic rez. No more politics from you. :beer:Are you just done with this elections? See you over in Poli section.

Demario, Mathieu, and Kamara all looked like they were no where near close to being too old to play at elite levels.

Interesting thing I noted; a week after Foster M and JJ had a TD each they were not big factors. Shows the versatility in the O attack.

Love how Olave picked up a big third down conversion to keep the pressure on. He’s not putting up big numbers but he’s been a big contributor

Man I’m still just shocked. This team is getting more and more confident. It’s great to see.

And like someone said before, Penning has been good. The whole line has been good.

2-0 with 91 points! Wow! Awesome!!

Re: Observations from the Saints beating the Cowboys 44-19

This is the most surprisingly positive Saints game in my memory.

If there was any way to keep Kubiak we should but I am not sure there is, unless Allen suddenly wants to spend more time with his family. I could see a bidding war between Dallas and Denver for Kubiak this offseason. Hopefully we can find some other protege to run his system.

Maybe Derek Carr has been waiting his whole career for the right offensive system?

We are very good at drafting and finding the right secondary. If we are so great without Lattimore, and Lattimore keeps missing games, Lattimore could be a post-June-1 cut. Maybe we need to give Adebo a big deal? Or maybe we go the Patriots model and don't keep every expensive corner because we know how to find value at the position and find new stars, and we trade Adebo for a 1st rounder or something.

If this continues our problem will be who we can afford to keep. In that equation I think you keep the QB and the young players and dont get into too much money for too long term on the older players. But if too many of the younger players are too great you can't keep them all and sometimes you have to do a trade.

I have always said that rebuilding does not mean surrendering and losing. It brings youth, urgency, and accountability. People have called this a soft rebuild. I was generally happy with Loomis's moves this offseason more than any recent offseason but feared we would blow it at the last minute by signing Simmons, trading for Aiyuk, signing Back-to-Ir-i, giving Kamara $20 million before he proved anything in the new offense, etc. Ultimately I think this season is showing that moving on from veterans that don't produce and not bringing in every banged up veteran, but developing from within and having accountability, can actually lead to more wins. I predicted us doing similar to the last two years despite a lot less spending, and it looks like we will do better, but it shows that with less spending better is still very possible. Also we did not trade up in the first round. We did not pick some long term project at a position where we already had depth. We mostly picked at our spots for positions we needed or saw players ready to play.

How well we are doing is very unexpected to me. I still think it is reasonable that I did not expect this. Do any of you expect Foskey to be dominating Trent Williams and Penei Sewell next year? Well that is essentially what happened today with Penning shutting down Parsons. Its an unlikely thing that could happen. Probably Foskey is a bust, but perhaps he continues to develop, it clicks, and next year we adopt a new rushing scheme that allows him to get 4 sacks on Williams after getting pancaked by Saldiveri 3 plays in a row in camp. In 5 years as a head coach Dennis Allen has never to my knowledge beat a team as good as Dallas. But in year 6 here he goes. Klint Kubiaks resume as an assistant is a mixed back of highs and lows, a bit of journeyman, but he is young, and suddenly this year he is producing much better results than Kyle Shannahan did his first year as OC and as HC. He was the best option we had for OC, but I think it was reasonable to not feel any results were guaranteed especially seeing nothing in preseason. I am not sure Derek Carr has ever been so excellent two games in a row. And for all this to work we also needed a rookie Tackle to not be a liability. In my view what has happened is a series of unlikely things have all come together, while we have also changed some long term habits to our benefit as far holding players accountable, making some cuts, and not signing a revolving door of bargain veterans. I did not see this happening, but we also did accomplish it by having an offseason much more like what I would want.

I know Fuaga was playing somewhat hurt today but the man already looks above average at the LT position. A large man that plays lights out.

Serve me up a large bowl of crow on TREVOR PENNING. Heck, add some tabasco hot sauce on it. He’s impressed the hell out of me last 3 weeks.

I think Dougie Marrone was holding him back.

Current Saints coaching staff playing to players strengths.

There is probably NO ONE (definitely not on this forum) that is more surprised, amazed actually, than me, about what we are seeing from this team (especially in game 2 on the road against a decent Cowboy team). So good to be excited about watching EXCELLENT WINNING FOOTBALL from guys dressed in BLACK AND GOLD again!
