Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
The tickets are in demand! |
Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
THIS is going to be a MONSTER of a home game. If we can do a fraction of the damage we did to the Cowboys, my own dome is gonna explode inside my beanie.

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Just checked SeatGeek, which handles Saints after market tickets, and there are no other tickets available at all in our section and the cheapest tickets in the section behind us are a pair at $270 plus fees a piece and two more at $315 a piece.
After market has been the only way to buy tickets for the past 20 years or so since all tickets are held by season ticket holders and will be for many years to come. It took us 15 years on the waiting list to get ours. |
Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Please, everybody in the Dome or in it's vicinity, be as loud as freaking possible throughout the game when the defense is on the field. Whether the Saints are in the lead or behind, make the Eagels hate us. :chug:
edit: and bring plenty of cough drops. |
Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
• Their defense is leaky.
• Their offensive line isn’t what it used to be. • Hurts is off, fumbles a lot, and gives up sacks. He’s very mobile though and we typically have issues with that. Interested to see how he handles it. • Their receiving core is dangerous, as is Saquon Barkley. We need all 11 starters ready to go on defense. We also need to play with a lead just like the first two week. |
Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
This is about tonight’s eagles game. Eagles went for on fourth and four from the Atlanta about 6 yard line early in the game with the score, tied 0-0. I can’t for the life of me figure out why they would’ve done that.

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Gotta make Hurts beat us with his arm. He doesnt want to run as much as he did when he was younger. Gotta be smart when we want to bring thd pressure up front. Let our DB’s do their jobs, they are good
at it. We need our guys up front for the 3rd/4th and shorts. Hopefully Barkley is kept in check. Brown scares me if hes back. |

Atlanta is gonna murder us.

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
I wondered earlier why the Eagles didn’t kick the FG on their first drive and they end up losing by one. Stupider move than anything Dennis Allen has done while coaching the Saints.

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Tough matchup. Saints off a big win. Eagles off a ridiculous loss. The Falcons on the docket after the Eagles game. The Eagles running game is legit. It's incredibly tough to defend a QB like Hurts. The possibility of Hill being out is a big loss. Talent wise, the Saints have the edge. They're at home which will be rockin. The Saints have to show up. Run the ball. Make Hurts beat you with his arm. Win the turnover battle. Most definitely can be done. WHO DAT!

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
It's a step up in defense, yet it's still not the Bears and Saints defense of old. If our Kubiak led offense continues to perform, we should have yet another positive outcome.

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Play contain on Hurts and don't allow Saquon any lanes.
I'm pretty sure our offense can run AK41 and Carr can throw all day on that shotty secondary! (Our boy Ceedy was looking pretty bad back there on MNF, BTW!) Any word on Taysom's injury? |

This is the first Eagles/Saints game that I've watched without my old rugby coach who is from Philly. Good. I won't have to see him cry.

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Apparently Lattimore lobbied heartily to play versus the Cowboys but Dennis Allen made him sit. Allen said it pissed Lattimore off, but playing it safe could turn what could have been a four week injury into missing one week. Sounds like Lattimore is a go against the Eagles.

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Derek Carr has a chance to place himself among the elite vs. Eagles
Derek Carr has a chance to make history on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, accomplishing something only four players at his position have done. Carr has an opportunity to become the fifth quarterback in NFL history to pass for at least two touchdowns and maintain a passer rating of 100-plus in seven consecutive games. .................................. The only other players to have accomplished this in their careers are Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. .................................. Since Week 15 of the 2023 season, Carr is first in the NFL in passing touchdowns, passer rating and completion percentage, and is looking to continue this impressive streak this Sunday. |
Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Looks like current Odds makers are giving the Saints 3. But many of the prognosticators are still giving the edge to the Eagles coming off of that stupid loss on MNF.
They have some new shiny things to play with like Saquon, but they're missing AJ Brown for this game and they are coming to the Thunderdome. From what I saw on MNF, they aren't ready for this squad on either side of the ball. Saints 34-16 |

Re: Week Three: Eagles @ Saints
Realistically, based on what we've seen so far, not many teams can keep up with the Saints new offense. Historically, the way to stop a vaunted offense is to keep it on the sidelines by running the football and chewing clock. Can Philly accomplish that? Besides Hurt, who can threaten Saints' defense enough. Hurt can't do it all. At some point he'll be forced to throw it relentlessly to play catch up. The next true test will be KC and Mahomes, IMHO, maybe a preview of the SB, baring injuries. That's a jinx thought in itself if there ever was one. Still, we cannot deny the results so far. Neither can the rest of the league, although they try. :bng:
