Week 5: Saints @ Chiefs
Monday October 7th, 8:15pm EST
Saints 2-2 KC 4-0 Opening Line: Chiefs -5 https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/game.../saints-chiefs If there was ever a week to face KC, this may be it. Their depleted offense is not quite as potent and struggles in the red zone. Saints biggest concern will be it's O line holding up vs KC's blitzes. Derek Carr averages 1 INT in each game vs Steve Spagnuolo's defenses. Will the Saints defense remain strong? Will the offense be able to sustain drives and put points on the board? |

Chiefs won't have Rice, Brown, Pacheco or Hellaire but you still have to man up to Patrick Mahomes and Kelce.
Saints just don't matchup well against TE's & Travis is elite. No pass rush and ranking 25th against the pass ... oh boy. |

I'd argue that the final drive is a perfect time to adjust when the offense is counting on what they've seen all game. I have zero clue how to coach football but just a thought. |

We're expected to lose so we'll probably win. How? Why? Beats me but that's just how it works sometimes. In my head, Mahomes/Kelce will dominate and Chris Jones will take our lunch money.

Re: Week 5: Saints @ Chiefs
I love man coverage. I want someone responsible for every receiver. Not someone guarding turf and then reacting. The Saints have the players to do it. Lattimore, Adebo, Taylor, Kool-Aid and Mathieu can cover anyone in the NFL. In certain situations, it would have to be off-man though. Keep the guy in front of you. Come up and make the tackle. If the receiver is in front of you, you're also less likely to get flagged.

We are about to get killed in (yet another) primetime spectacle highlighting everything that’s wrong with this organization, followed by more line lips flapping from Dennis Allen, who should have NEVER become our Head Coach, followed by resentment towards me, for saying it… again.
… followed by a few “bounce back” games, to keep Dennis Allen around for (yet another) year. |
