If my math serves me correctly, the loses of the last two games total only 5 points. If having another weapon can open the game up for some additional scoring, a couple FG's make the difference between a team at .500 and an undefeated Saints team. This team is not that far off from being pretty good.
Defense has GOT to end the games stronger though. Like the voice in the old Mortal Combat games... "FINISH HIM!!!" Just food for thought. |

I think the problem with the defense late in games is that it IS late in the game. They've played their butts off all four games and have made a single mistake that have allowed a large chunk of yardage in each of the last two weeks. If we could have extended a drive or two in those two games the defense may have not been so beat down late. Our handy dandy drive extender (Taysom) was missing in both cases.
