this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; While I appreciate your enthusiasm, the reality will be something different. Rattler will need more playing time before he settles in. It's too much to expect him to win in his first start....

Re: I PREDICT WE BEAT THE BUCS
I anticipate possibly something amazing happening this week, followed by severe disappointment, as usual. We just don’t have the ability to develop an identity.

Divisional games are often hard to predict.
I’m sure Kubiak studied the Denver/Bucs game film. Don’t know what kind of o line the Broncos have however rookie Bo Nix threw it 35 times & completed 26 passes with no picks enroute to a W. I still have the Saints WINNING at home. |

Re: I PREDICT WE BEAT THE BUCS
Normally I think we lose this with our injuries and honestly more uncertainty, even if there is more hope, at QB. However, the Bucs being evacuated from a hurricane and their city devastated could put them in a different frame of mind. If we win this one game due to a natural disaster, I dont think it saves our season.
I always want all our QBs to do good. The best position to be in is one like the Patriots once were, where you have so much QB depth you can trade the extras for good draft picks. Not that I want to trade Rattler per se, but if Rattler, Carr, and Haener all played during the remainder of the season and all looked good, it would give us options. |

Also. Sinner I’ll never forget logging in to my first Live Game chat and you saying something like 2 packs of cigs on deck. Aspirin, on deck. Cabernet for later. On deck.
Why does no one want to do the live chat anymore? (Asking the group/board) We had some good times in there |

Re: I PREDICT WE BEAT THE BUCS
Without Carr and no offensive line it'd take one hell of an effort and some creativity from Allen(which I think he's unable to produce). I'm honestly skeptical about pulling out a win here. I haven't given up on the playoffs yet though.

Re: I PREDICT WE BEAT THE BUCS
It’s hard for me to fathom a positive outcome with our offensive line injuries right now. Unfortunately we never had good depth when the season started.
The defense has been giving up game winning drives in the 4th quarter. I have zero confidence in this team. |

I still drop into Live Chat just before game time though. |

Re: I PREDICT WE BEAT THE BUCS
I am going into this optimistically and I hope the best for Rattler and the Saints. That said, I think the New England Patriots are making a similar mistake by starting Maye with the O-Line they have. A bad O-Line can get in a young QB's head and cause bad habits for the remainder of their career. Happy feet, rushed passes etc..I honestly feel the Saints are also going to use Haener, maybe not today, but in the upcoming weeks. Both QBs can throw the ball well. Rattle can move a little better than Haener , but both move better than Carr. Assuming Rattler is the QB of the future for the Saints, I am hoping today is the story where the QB takes full advantage of this opportunity because of an injury and solidifies himself as our future, but I think that is asking a lot.
