PUT A FORK IN THIS ONE. THIS GAME. THIS SEASON. THIS TEAM.

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Rattler looks good. Carr will come back. We are a lukewarm mess of uncoordinated and underutilized talent, with a Head Coach (and Defensive Coordinator) who should have been sitting at home for the past two years. Hate on me all ...

Dennis Allen just doesnt have the personality to be a head coach in the NFL. When things go wrong he is an excuse guy and a just be patient guy. Players dont find an extra gear for him because he doesnt connect. He is a cold tactician. I think that in the NFL you need a passionate leader who either has rage and fire when things are tough or who is sincere and positive. But you cant have the excuse lawyer even if he went to scheme Harvard or scheme Brown or whatever it is. The team has compensated for DAs lack of leadership by seeking a ton of older veterans who can lead, but then those guys get injured or gassed or washed because they are old and the excuse lawyer bills overtime. Its time to rebuild but no need to chop wood, we need to build around something new.

Re: PUT A FORK IN THIS ONE. THIS GAME. THIS SEASON. THIS TEAM.

Which scenario presents a better chance to save our season?

A) The team loses badly on Thursday night to drop to 2-5 and it finally propels the organization to fire DA, particularly given the upcoming 10-day window. The interim is somebody, anybody not named Dennis Allen. Mickey expanding his role to Head Coach/GM might actually be an improvement at this point.

B) We eek out a win vs the Broncos to go to 3-4 and our spotty play under a lousy head coach and subpar defensive leadership continues.

I can't help but think scenario A could actually be the better chance to save the season and fight for a playoff berth. Team needs a fire lit under it, and sometimes only one thing sends that message.

I agree with ya Sinner! Wasn’t DA our defensive coordinator once!”? 😂💩

Fire DA now and let Kubiak have a shot! That’s why they got him in the first place. Hire a different OC and DC!

Re: PUT A FORK IN THIS ONE. THIS GAME. THIS SEASON. THIS TEAM.

The Saints have now lost 5 games in a row to Tampa Bay. The last time we beat them was December of 2021 and the score was 9-0. Lol.

I wasn’t surprised by the loss. In fact I was expecting it. But what I didn’t expect is to go into halftime with a lead and to get the ball back first in the second half and just blow it. Good grief.

I hope the boos rained down and I hope DA gets fired.
