Re: Rashid out for season
I can guarantee no other team has had as many injuries to key players as we have.

Re: Rashid out for season
I really like Rasheed Shaheed as a player to watch but unfortunately he is what he is. As a deep threat without contact catching the ball he is the next closest thing to Tyreek Hill in the game. But when he sustains contact he is just very fragile. He is a DeSean Jackson type player. We was great as WR3 deep threat but when he becomes the #1 option I don't think he will stay healthy. He is Temu Tyreek Hill. As long as he is cheap I am glad to have him on the roster but if he ever has a lucky streak without injury and puts up big numbers, let him walk and take the comp picks.
Our injuries aren't just back luck. In many ways they relate to how we built 80% of our roster off the bargain bin while paying giant salaries and trading up in the draft for the other 20%. Often these bargain bin guys come refurbished with a reduced warranty. That can be fine for part time usage but as the cap mess has continued out depth suffered further and we had to press some of them into full time work. Shaheed is a guy who could not stay healthy full time in college. Hill is a guy who is 34 and could not stay health full time in college. And we have questionable regular tight ends so we are putting these guys at risk returning kicks and running routes over the middle. We need to go back to the draft, get more picks not less, and rebuild our depth. |
