A DISGRACE

Yeah, I’m the clown who has been b*tching and moaning for two long years before this pathetic season, and pretty much predicting EXACTLY what we are seeing now. After the anomaly of the first two weeks (Carolina and Dallas), we see a beat up, beaten down, uninspired, uninspiring assembly of mismanaged and underutilized talent, with the best of what we have, getting thrown under the actual buses that our opposition are putting on the field to crush us.

Losing to Philly AT HOME was pathetic, and a shock and an insult to fans, as our “Offensive Juggernaut” put up a woeful 12 points, but we could have dealt with bouncing back from that, by a good clipping of some Dirty Bird wings. Instead, we bounced into Atlanta and got sh*t on by our Nemesis and despised division rival.

Next up, we headed to a PRIMETIME MONDAY NIGHT embarrassment for the world to watch, against KC. Okay… Lick our wounds and come home and prepare to beat the Bucs… Nope. The Bucs put a freakin FIFTY BURGER on our sorry @$$ IN OUR HOUSE.

To follow all of this humiliation with a ceremony honoring Drew Brees, while Sean Payton comes back home as a Bronco, and basically punches us in the f*cking face IN OUR HOUSE on PRIMETIME… and as I write this, Dennis Allen is STILL HERE… and we get to watch a mish mash of Haener, Rattled, and Carrbage, while we “look beyond results” into more of the same NEXT SEASON?

Meanwhile, this weekend we get to watch other teams play way better football than us, and it AINT even the Playoffs yet.

My bottom line, and y’all can hate on me all you like, but GAYLE DON’T CARE about us winning, or she just doesn’t know anything about football.

If y’all don’t keep the Dome empty for the rest of the year, YOU are the problem. Enjoy the Super Bowl, because we AINT IN IT, perhaps, ever again.

Rant over. Season over.

I agree with everything you said. Not sure about the Gayle don’t care thing, but certainly if fans would quit going to games that would speak volumes. If this was an offense only problem I would give benefit of the doubt but as far as I am concerned this is a defensive issue that cannot and will not be fixed this season with this staff. Trade Kamara, Young, carr and Lattimore load up on some picks, fire DA and bring in Flores and give rattler the reigns for rest of the year to see if we have a future with him and start getting out of this salary cap hell we are in. Get younger, faster and more athletic. And for Gods sake please do some inventory on your medical staff. Rant all you want Sinner I am right there with you.

The thing is, if I were the OWNER of a product or service that brought this level of customer dissatisfaction, I’d be out of business by now, especially if it’s the business of Sports and/or Entertainment.

I agree with everything you said except the attending fans being the problem. The problems are 100% on the organization. The fans and season ticket holders didn't ask for this, but if they are willing to tolerate it then who am I to judge? The team might have been contracted or relocated in the past if not for the fans wearing paper bags and attending during the 70's and 80's.

Did RG not want the Saints to play in their SuperDome for the SB this year?

The Saints front office didn't want them to. They just wanted 9 wins to be good enough and be able to blame a formula on not being able to appear in a wildcard game on the road. Thats why they spent $150m on a QB who never won a playoff game in 10 years, rather than risking a really bad season that could have led to drafting Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, or CJ Stroud. Who would have been better than Carr? Taking a real shot on a draft pick after accepting a down year instead of delaying the inevitable. Settling for mediocrity meant giving up on greatness.

Re: A DISGRACE

Allen not being fired after the Denver game is ridiculous. Anyone in the organization that disagrees with this should be fired as well. He's not an impactful coach in any way. Now the team has officially quit on him. It won't save the season, but it will start a process that's necessary and overdue.

The problem is, our division is so pathetic, we could theoretically seem not pathetic enough to continue to keep “all the right people in the building” indefinitely. Saints Culture has become quietly irrelevant, a laughing stock to much of the rest of the league, and clearly, the Ownership has found a way to happily keep the money flowing, without having to develop a winning team.

This is turning fans’ loyalty into masochism.

Re: A DISGRACE

Attendance is irrelevant, tickets are sold Team/City/League are paid. Not showing up is just less to clean.

The only and I mean ONLY thing that might wake up Gayle would be something that threatens the team's ability to stay in New Orleans. If she lets that happen she will be seen as having gone back on her word.

The woman is 77yo and worth $6.6BN and no heirs... The top of her list of concerns are bowel movements.
