And I believe what will happen is exactly what you said, it will blow up in Benson's face. He will wind up either having to sell the team, or keeping it in New Orleans. I don't know how he is gonna get 2/3 of the votes to move the team. I just don't see it. I know that mayor of San Antonio is in his corner, and the governor of Texas, but it's not their decisions. There must be something Benson knows that isn't out yet that has him believing he can do this. The sad part is, if he is shot down, he may just run the team into the ground. Hell, did you hear about his buddy Red's staff in Minnesota, or lack thereof? I would never want it to get that bad for the Saints.

Fieklow was not alone in his sentiments regarding the Saints staing in New Orleans, he was just the only one who had the nuts to say something, jeopardizing his job and all. Benson was right to fire him. I would have done the same in Benson's position. Don't get me wrong. I still think Benson is a money grubing bastard and also very short sited. If he stays in New Orleans he'll probably come out better. He'll have support of the Gulf region, the NFL, and the good ole US of A. There is a lot of money to be made by rebuilding and a lot of opportunity that will come out of this disastor. I,m in Houston now and have been traveling back and forth into New orleans. We are cleaning out house, replacing roofs, and restoring houses. I just went down there to help my brother with his house but opportunities have caused me to relocate and when this is over I am probably going to move back to New Orleans for good...Saints or no Saints. So Hats off to Fieklow and Benson needs to have his ass kicked.
