The NFL knows that every franchise has the potential to go through individual hardships of one kind or another. The stability of EVERY franchise was crucial to the long term success of the league. It was decided in the very early 1960's to share virtually all revenues so every franchise would be guaranteed to be successful regardless how well any individual team was performing on the field. The advent of third party ticket vendors has also almost guaranteed that every ticket will be sold to cover that small percentage that isn't shared in totality. Even if a team's own fans don't show up there are still opposing fans and virtual paid butts in the seats.

It is totally different than any "normal" business operation and to attempt to compare the two is meaningless.

Oh I understand it son. The old lady dances on your money, you wet your pants, and the SAINTS KEEP LOSING.

Every single game in this streak we've had no fewer than a half dozen players that haven't had more than two or three (limited) days of snaps with the 1st string. All continuity has been thrown out the window. There is ultimately a point of greatly diminished returns. Replacing two or three players can be accomplished with limited negative affects. The same cannot be said for replacing 40% of the starters. We've been seeing pretty much what I was expecting regardless of my "rosy" rhetoric.

There are currently ten teams in the league with the same or fewer wins as the Saints. That's a 3rd of the league and all have been affected more or less by the same issues we have faced as a team.

I do understand, however, that this doesn't make it any easier to stomach for many fans. I'll assure you that it doesn't make it any easier to stomach for the players, coaches, and front offices either. Unfortunately they all know that there's no easy immediate solution.

Rationalize it all you want, or however you want. Let's pinpoint one thing. Our tackling plain sucks. Has nothing to do with lack of personnel. starters are missing tackles. Makes it harder to watch.

Pretty much.

It's belief, culture, attention to detail and accountability.

Running this back again in 2025 is re arranging chairs on the deck of the titanic.

Dennis Allen has the worst winning percentage for a head coach in the last 30 years, when given a minimum of 75 games.

Loomis and Gayle must be senile to be keeping this moron in his job.

That's what happens when you field a team made of of backups. JV's have a tendency of losing when facing other teams made up of varsity.

Other teams with REAL MANAGEMENT find a way around this kind of a disgrace.

Dude come on. You can’t seriously be making excuses for this pathetic product. It’s horrible. Carolina is awful. The Saints should be a better team even with some holes.

They’re now on a 7 game losing streak. I can’t believe what I’m saying but I really don’t care if they win another game this year. As long as it puts the nail in the coffin for Allen.

We also have a backup owner, a backup head coach, and if Sean Payton was really the defacto GM before he left, a backup GM who needs a backup liver.

No excuses. The product we are putting on the field at this point is clearly the worst in the league. That's a fact. JV versus varsity.

Maybe so. If we get new ones I'll be right out front giving THEM all full support just as I have for every Saints team ever fielded. Can you not understand that?

Maybe I just have a different philosophy. If my car is old, has too many miles on it, the engine sounds like crap, and it keeps breaking down and costing more than its worth to fix, I want to go get a new different car. I don't worry that with the new car I will be in the same position of hoping it doesn't break down, or that trading in my old car will be a betrayal. I think its a good time to start fresh. Mickey Loomis and Dennis Allens brains are like Ryan Ramczyks knees, its time to put them out to pasture. Maybe he could see a neurologist and we could call it a medical retirement. 'Supporting' Ram's knees ain't going to do **** to to make them not have arthritis. 'Supporting' Dennis Allen's slow broken mind as a head coach won't make him a winner. At this point taking old yeller out behind the woodshed is the most supportive thing we can do. Fire him!

I can see both of your points. As a fan you hate to bail on your team and want to support them at every turn, win or lose. But I also see the other side that it’s the fans who have to help accelerate change by not attending games and the owners seeing half empty stadiums. Yes they’ve got there money but these billionaires have something more valuable than money and that’s ego and fear of not being successful. I just happened to be in the Sinner camp on this one that changes have to be made in every area, but Guido I admire you for hanging in there.

Injuries are a league-wide phenomenon. Upper management using them as a human shield to protect our low-life coach is exclusive to the Saints.

Maybe the car for you is a brand new Kansas City Chief? Or do you like the styling of a classic Dallas Cowboy instead? This is an NFL franchise that has been an important part of my life since 1967. Not a ****ing car.

I support MY team regardless of the factors involved. I want them to win, but if they don't I don't care for them any less.

Clearly, I haven’t bailed, and if I haven’t bailed by now, I’ll never bail on THE SAINTS. But I am not contracted to wave pompoms like a zombie, when there’s a pile of dogsh*t on the field, week after week after week after week after week after week after week (that’s seven weeks), not counting the last two seasons before this one.

Sorry. I don’t mean to implicate that you have bailed as a fan, and neither have I. Meant that we are both just ready for change and aren’t going to continue to believe this group is gonna bring us the change we want. Bail was wrong choice of words.

10-7 should still make the playoffs. I'll be supporting my Saints wholeheartedly through the final snap of the season.

Unmotivated, undisciplined. Poorly coached, poorly prepared.

So I’m not a huge jump ship guy but it’s gotten pretty bad. First, I think we need a new team doctor. We have had entirely way too many injuries. With that being said, the injuries only changed a few outcome. At best we would still be 500. I say cut bait with DA and Micky and give the rest of the year to kubiak and see what he can do. Trade ML, Jordan, oliave, and young.

Olave needs to retire or the young man needs to take the year off and think about his health. At the absolute very least he should be wearing a guardian cap.

He supposedly was going to wear one but changed his mind just before the game. It's like players wearing ultra light shoes which have no support leading to lisfranc injuries. Or not wearing thigh padding and suffering bone bruises and such. Much of the available safety equipment is not mandated, just "suggested".
