We win. Hollow victory. Lose. Hopefully a nail heading towards DA's coffin.

As usual, coffee, cigs, aspirin, snacks and beverages on deck. Sure wish I was watching Payton/Brees today… even Haslett/Brooks. 🤪

Win or lose I suspect Allen is gone at the end of the season. Not saying it isn't possible, but doubt he's gone before then. It's just not the Saints' M.O.

At this rate, he’s still here next year.

Dennis Lauscha is man who grew up in New Orleans, so at some point maybe he actually cares and goes to Gayle to fire native Oregonian Mickey Loomis and native Georgian/Texan Dennis Allen. At this point the GM job for Mickey Loomis is just a ticket to all the booze he can drink, and as long as his beloved Seahawks are competitive its all good, but for Lauscha who actually grew up in New Orleans, the Saints losses have to be painful.

Why the constant reference to Loomis and alcohol? That something you came up with on your goofy-assed fire Loomis website?

Is that why Randy Mueller is back? The Seattle connection?

Great. Olave. Fricked again.

Olave needs to retire.

Every single week he gets a concussion.

Dude needs to prioritise his health now.

Re: Saints vs. Panthers Gameday Thread

Did Olave wear the Guardian cap or not?

My prediction is Mickey Loomis announces a 3 year $100 million extension for Chris Olave on Tuesday.

I've never seen a cart rolled out for a concussion. I think it's something else.

Did Carr throw bad pass... A hospital pass ?

Did they , RG, ever fine the original helmet to helmet hit?

It was a very high pass, but regardless, Olave is taking shots every single week like that one even on caught balls.

It's sad, because he's a great player, but he matters as an individual more than a football player.

Put football behind you, before you can't speak due to brain contusions.

SmashMouth 11-03-2024 12:38 PM

Re: Saints vs. Panthers Gameday Thread

I don't remember Joe Montana throwing the ball to where a WR could get hurt , Drew Brees either .

MT13 is destroying Carr on X right now.

I think that part of the problem is that we are running an offense built for big physical receivers like Samuel, Aiyuk, Nacau, and Kupp, as we are running it with small finesse receivers like Olave and Shaheed. It just doesnt work. But we are stuck because the Loomis-Cuervo method of cap management does not allow any flexibility to get the players that suit a new coach or system. If Olave has any chance to continue his career it is with a traditional shotgun pocket passing offense.

Sinner 11-03-2024 12:44 PM

Re: Saints vs. Panthers Gameday Thread

Olave (concussion) is OUT for the remainder of the game. He has movement in all extremities and is undergoing further evaluation at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.

Carr can barely complete a pass against the Panthers.

I have watched Loomis speak in the last 10 years. I have also seen his decision making.

MT opinion is worth half the value of his current NFL contract … he is on twitter at game time for a reason.

I’ll listen to Thomas before Carr or our fanbase any day. He had injury issues. Carr and our coaching staff have skill issues.

Yes but DA and Loomis should be sitting beside him on the couch. Their opinions are worth nothing more. No other team would employ them. All they did is commit elder fraud to scam an old lady into writing them checks.

Hopefully a loss to the Panthers results in a firing.

BakoSaint 11-03-2024 12:54 PM

Re: Saints vs. Panthers Gameday Thread

As I have said before, win or lose, we should be sellers at the trade deadline because we are not contenders. Our only competant receiver likely missing multiple weeks should only add to that. Trade Lattimore. Trade Young. Hell if you care about Olave's health, trade him to a team with a QB that doesnt throw hospital balls.

Anything 10 yards away from the end zone should consist of Taysom Hill/Alvin Kamara read options and RPO’s. Idk why they don’t understand that.
