Re: Saints Fire Dennis Allen
WHOA - BIG Saints news!
First off - the human side. I wish Dennis Allen the best. I have never been fired but I have been laid off 2x in life (the "it's not you, it's me" version of fired). This has to be a huge disruption to his personal life and not a pleasant thing. That all being said... The NFL is a business and coaches are paid astronomical salaries for results. Dennis has had an opportunity in NOLA in which he made lots of money and probably earned that opportunity due to his connections (Sean) and not his credentials (atrocious head coaching record). Best wishes to Dennis - hope he catches on someone else and does well, but it was LONG PAST TIME for the Saints to part ways with him... |

Bye Felicia!
DA was the architect of his own demise. Although I generally feel some regret when someone loses their job. Like being with a co-worker who does a half assed job while you work your butt off, I feel nothing but joy at this firing. Let's lay the smack down on Atlanta! |

Re: Breaking News: Saints Fire Dennis Allen
Strength and conditioning too. All the above come into play. While some athletes are more predisposed than others with injuries, there is something to be said about proper preparation, nutrition, and conditioning (ask Tom Brady). And really as the game become softer, in other words, more like flag football, we ought to be seeing a trend toward fewer injuries. Except of course when a QB throws a WR into a risky catching situation rather than one whereby YACs can be had.
