I’ll really miss him. I’m a huge Lattimore fan. That’s a fair trade though.

Good luck Lattimore. You get to play with a real QB.

Brees wasn't a real QB?

Thank you for all you did since 2017 for this team.

I'm rooting for the Commanders to win it all following this.
Actually, pulling for the Redskins is counterproductive. We are getting slotted 3rd and 4th rounders from them. If they win it all they are at the very bottom of those rounds. What we really want is for them to go on a 8 game losing streak and miss the playoffs altogether!

I think the playoffs occurring is a more risky assumption than that we would not be there. Nuclear war or a meteor is more likely than a Saints playoff run this year.

I think this is a good return. I expect Washington will either cut Lattimore at the end of the year or he will take a big pay cut if he likes it there. We got a decent return because we paid basically all of Lattimore’s salary except the vet minimum when we restructured him, so Washington got a $400k rental for the rest of the year, virtually free to their cap.

Re: Saints Trade Lattimore

Just heard that this is not yet a finalized deal. They made a point to mention it was still pending passing a physical to be official. A physical is a standard step in all trades, but it usually doesn't get mentioned as being such a key step publicly. Given he's missed half his games over the last three seasons it isn't a slam dunk.

I never stop believing. It's not in my DNA.
