Dennis Allen is not a good coach, and I believe our medical staff has mishandled the actual treatment of injuries in the past, but I am skeptical that somewhat punitively placing a constantly injured player on IR is Allen's worst offense. The way things have gone, had Miller played this week, he might have had 5 carries, then got injured again, and meanwhile he is using up a roster space. I think that even a good coach might sometimes hold out a player with constant injuries a little longer to send a message that they need to do whatever it takes to be more available, and that with their marginal value on the field they should not be taking up a constant roster space in order to be available a quarter or two every 2-3 weeks.

I suppose that is one opinion.
