WWL Radio
Ok guys I know in the big scheme of things that this is probably the least important, but has anyone listened to the play by play on Saints radio. I was out of town so had to listen to the game while traveling and picked the home radio up on Sirius. Not sure who the play by play guy is but that was some horrific radio calling. I realize it’s local but geez this was as high schoolish as it gets. I have no question that this guy and Deuce know there football and much more than I ever will but that does not make you a radio guy. Note to WWL look for some new radio guys for next year.
Am I the only one who thinks this or am I just delusional. I mean it was really bad. |

Re: WWL Radio
I usually listen to Sirius, same crew. Living in Washington, I have to suffer thru SeaChicken Hell. Deuce is good, doesn’t pull any punches, tells it like it is, the other cat, well he’s so so. What didn’t ya like about em specifically? Have you listened to any other home team goobers broadcast? They all suck monkey ballz. Just listen to the Hawks idiot, you will want to stab yourself in the eyeball

Re: WWL Radio
Obviously being a Saints fan I really don’t listen to any others. I guess maybe it seems like the play by play guy just tries too hard to put his own stamp on exciting plays and it just comes out weird and awkward. When you’re listening to a game on the radio just stick to the game and give me the info I need to understand what’s going on. The national teams are usually great so it can be done. Idk it was just a worthless opinion of mine. Lol

Re: WWL Radio
Mike Hoss? He's alright. At least he sounds like home and sounds natural. Streif was horrible.
You could tell Deuce annoyed Henderson from the get go. The tension was noticeable if not totally obvious. I know Deuce had big shoes to fill but Henderson wasn't having it. True story I was doing a spot one morning on WWL TV and my wife came to the studio with me. I'm on air and look up and see her crying as she had a conversation with an older gentleman. The guy turned so I could see his face and I realized it was Jim Henderson. He too had tears in his eyes. Turns out he and my wife had been reminiscing, discussing the Saints pre and post Payton. Dude has a true passion for the game and for our organization |

Re: WWL Radio
Yes I really liked Jim Henderson when he did the games. Just seems like an organization would do a better job bringing in a true radio guy and turn him into a saints fan then vice versa. Originally came from Houston area and when the Texans started there new franchise they brought in a guy who was a radio guy who became a Texans fan obviously. But like I said before probably at bottom of list of things that need to be fixed but is pretty bad when I switch over to Giants radio guys because Saints radio was so bad.
