Like that they showed some fight in the second half. They could have phoned it in.

Love that they went for two. Did not love the play they called.

They made it interesting in the end, which is more that I expected.

• I want a Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward. If those two aren’t a possibility then I say draft the best LT on the board, move Fuaga to his natural side on the right, and then let Penning walk. Spencer Rattler continues to show me enough upside that I’d be willing to put some talent around him and see what he can do.

• I really like Kendre Miller. He has the potential to be great. He’s exactly what they wanted Jamal Williams to be. However, we need to draft a running back as well. This draft class is too talented to pass up.

• I saw more pass rush discipline then I normally see when we face mobile QB’s. Daniels is extremely gifted. He’s going to do what he does, but again, there was more discipline than usual. Joe Woods is doing a decent job calling the plays. I don’t think he has the players to run the scheme he wants though.

• Cornerback is going to be a major issue. This is why I was never ecstatic about the idea of trading Lattimore. Elite CB’s don’t grow on trees. Taylor is disappointing and Kool Aid definitely looks like a rookie.

Agreed. Glad they were playing.

One has to wonder how we would’ve fared if Rattler would’ve started.

Penning seems to have found a home. Do get him some competition in the later rounds though. We need G more, IMHO.

CB is always a need every year. So continue . At least you got something for Latt, who may be waning in his latter years .

We still need a TE who can make a difference , and now a built WR. We need another speedster anyway with Olave's concussion track record .

Defense is where we've aged significantly. LBers, DE and DT.

And we need to clean cap at the same time . Time to bite the bullet as The Bayou Rattler continues to grow . Pretty Boy Haener is back up materials at best at this point . Carr can move on also.

Still fun to see the team almost come back.

Ouch. Seems like Haener might as well be Billy Joe Haener. At any rate, to come back and get to a coin-flip 2 point conversion chance of pulling off the upset seems like about all we could hope for.

Two questions for yours truly who just got back in town and is seeing the results:
1) How in the world do we sack the elusive Daniels 8 times and not have better command of this game?!
2) Did Lattimore not play, or just not just show up in the box score because we stayed away from him?

A couple of sacks were on 2nd down and then the commanders converted on third down anyway. One of them, Daniels made Demario look extremely amateur.

However the D did pick it up in the 2nd half and for the most part shut Washington down.

Daniels however, did miss 2 wide open touchdowns, so this game could have a easily been a blowout with 2 better throws.

Neither QB seemed to look Latts way.

Lattimores weakness is speed or shiftiness, but neither QB had any amount of time in the pocket for that to develop really.

Care or no Carr Rattler should finish year as starter. It’s ridiculous that this staff thought Haener was a better option today. Hopefully he has seen his last game as a starter. Rattler was average but what can you expect with that sh-t o-line and throwing to 7-9 starting receiving group. Now that we are officially eliminated this should be a no brainer for Loomis

Saw this just now

Referees made huge mistake at end of Commanders-Saints game

The clock stopped with 9 seconds left for a few seconds. The Saints ran up and spiked the ball with 3 seconds left in order to run another play.

Refs stopped the game clock for 4 seconds when it should have been running

freezes at :09 while play clock ticks from :39 to :35

So that's two that we know of, counting the time they didn't realize the play clock had run out on the Commanders. Speaking of, isn't there a ref who is responsible for watching the play clock?

Realistically I can see why they had to give Haener a chance to start. Rattler had several starts and struggled so if Haener was not given a chance now, fans would assume he is a living legend and clamor for him to be the day 1 starter next year. Apparently Haener is as good or better in practice, which makes sense, in practice he isn't afraid of being hit, in games he is, even preseason. Realistically even if we won this game, this is not a championship team and we weren't beating the packers and bucs to go to the playoffs, and giving Haener 1 start to confirm what we have in him was reasonable.
