Referees made huge mistake at end of Commanders-Saints game

The clock stopped with 9 seconds left for a few seconds. The Saints ran up and spiked the ball with 3 seconds left in order to run another play.

Refs stopped the game clock for 4 seconds when it should have been running

freezes at :09 while play clock ticks from :39 to :35

Guys, I have to confess - this was 100% my fault. I took the Commanders and gave 7 points.

Had I not, the Saints wouldn't have covered the spread.

I heard the accidental pause was 2.7 seconds, which would put the Saints snap at 0.3 seconds. However, realistically Rattler or some Saints player was probably able to glance at the clock and see how much time they had. If they had 3 seconds less, I believe there is at least a 50% chance they could have acted 1 second faster while seeing that and having more urgency, and got the ball spiked with 1 second left.

Well, at least it’s only the preseason.

The refs "should" have penalised Bobby Wagner for holding Moreau down for 3 seconds.

While some view this as a loss, I'm looking at it like we got the best of both worlds. We showed we could beat the Commanders while maintaining our position in the draft. The goal of any team is to win the Super Bowl, and we know it won't happen this year. We showed that this team can turn it on if it has to while also setting up the future

uh.. hate to disagree, but to show the world that the Saints could beat the Commanders, would mean to actually win the game.... just sayin.

Saints Fans are resilient… to the point of delusional, which keeps Lady Gayle laughing all the way to the bank, for producing dog sh*t.
