Has The Current State of Officiating Made the Game Unwatchable?
Great time management in the last game, right?
And the Saints have suffered more than their fair share of of "calls" . Alas, it is happening all over the league. It's almost so predictable. It isn't as entertaining, unless you're a gambler or you play fantasy. | |

Is it officiating decline or the NFL become closer to WWE than anyone wants to admit?
Either way, if revenue does not drop, this is the path forward. |

Re: Has The Current State of Officiating Made the Game Unwatchable?
Exactly. If people can't take the leap to calling it the Fake Football League, then you for sure have to call it the Ratings/Revenue league. $$$ That's all that has has ever matter to the lousy excuse of a commissioner running the show. Refs are a piece of the puzzle. Make a few calls here and there to keep arses in seats. Keep that ad revenue rolling. Make that primetime national game that is becoming a blowout look like a potential comeback to prevent tune out. Throw in enough chaos and drama that all the teams think they have a chance for at least 1/2 the season. Make any game a potential upset - the ol' "Any Given Sunday" mantra. Pardon me for being jaded but Goodell and his ilk have RUINED pro football for me. He is a con artist of the highest order. |

Yes, bad officiating has made watching the NFL impossible. Between that and the split screen commercials or the players standing on their Soapbox Derby preaching I have had enough!

Regardless of what anybody thinks about Officiating, the Saints have done a great job of making games unwatchable, without any assistance from the Officiating.
MEMO: Derek Carr and Patrick Mahomes are in two completely different universes. |
