My allegiance lies with the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana.
If the Saints move, they ain’t the Saints anymore. I’m sure some here would be fine with that as long as they can jump on the bandwagon. That’s not me. |

Agreed. If the Saints move my only interest in the league will be my fantasy team. I don't really watch any other NFL games than Saints games anyway.

Totally understandable, IF one has more of an allegiance to the city, than to the SAINTS. Those who don’t, will not be jumping on any bandwagon, but simply following our SAINTS to hopefully some WINNING FOOTBALL. Actually, explains a lot.

Saints aren't moving. Read through the thread before. Not going anywhere if sold.

I am neither informed enough nor smart enough to predict if they will move, the arguments against seem compelling - but its an unpredictable world out there. but I can and will take this moment to be on record that my franchise long enthusiasm will be betrayed and I absolutely would not continue to follow them.

I hate the aspect of US sports that has teams as a franchise that can be moved so the owners can make the asset worth more/get a better stadium deal.
Team owners are custodians of a team, the city/fans are the teams lifeblood and it should never be movrd |

I guess if the SAINTS are moved, (assuming that they’re still called the SAINTS), it becomes a question of whether one is a SAINTS fan, or a fan of the City of New Orleans.

I just hate the idea of the St. Louis Saints, or San Antonio Saints. Of course, I'm still salty over the Utah Jazz. so... |

I am far from knowledgeable on this issue, but I tend to think the optics would be truly bad for the NFL or anyone involved with pulling the Saints out of NOLA. It's a prime football site with the Sugar Bowl and Super Bowl and now because of post-Katrina the team has indelible ties to the city that cannot be denied. I'd think all of these factors would make it a non-starter, money be damned.
