Duncan Commentary: Fans have lost faith in the Saints

Demario Davis is a man of faith.

So it was no surprise that he sermonized after the Saints’ loss to the Raiders on Sunday. Davis admitted the team is in a dark time right now and asked fans to have faith and trust the organization. He said they have the right people in place to turn things around and pleaded for patience and support.

Davis’ comments were admirable. He was being what he’s been since he came here 7 years ago: a leader and loyal soldier.

But as popular as Davis has been over the years, his message rang hollow.
