Re: Turning Attention to the Draft

Tre Harris, WR
Ole Miss

Overview
Size/speed wideout who returned to school in 2024 and improved his game heading into this year’s draft. He’s primarily a first- and third-level target, mixing a barrage of hitches and slants with go routes and posts. He’s fast enough to win over the top and talented with the ball in his hands to stretch short throws into longer yardage. His route-running and contested-catch success both took an upturn but they still need work at the pro level. Of greater concern might be a second consecutive season of time missed due to injury. Harris might be capable of expanding his route tree a bit, but he looks locked in as an “X” receiver with big-game potential and a future home as a WR2.

Rd 2 target

TBD on how he translates to the NFL but even I could see the kid had a porous O line and in many games, had limited time to make accurate throws.

Will was a dawg @ LSU ...

IMO his run blocking needs a lot of work.

Interested to see how he transitions at the elite level of football.
Rd 1, Year 1 projected starter.

At both destinations. Jackson State and Colorado. I'm coming to the forum as someone who was NOT big in Shedeur coming out of high school. When he played his first year at JSU I was like okay...I see some improvement. In his second year I was like okay...another massive jump in development. His first year at a Colorado I'm like wow...he's a real QB. And this past year he made another major jump in development. That's what has won me over. The constant improvement year after year. He's never had a line or a running game and I wasn't in love with the offense Prime wanted him to run.

If I'm being honest, the kid had zero run game, terrible o line, really only Travis Hunter and he still made plays.

He's definitely a good QB who to your point has only improved. He doesn't possess elite traits other than being able to handle a ton of adversity and still make plays.

I really like this player! You watch him on the field and he never stops. Always seems to be moving toward the ball.

I wouldn't mind Mason Taylor ending up as a Saint.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft

Jahdae Barron - CB
Texas

POSITIVES
— Highly versatile player who is used in an almost limitless way at Texas.
— Stout, strong defender who excels in the run game. High-motor athlete who plays with reckless abandon. Secure tackler.
— Smart defender who identifies his threats in zone and plays with great leverage.
— Plays with very good ball skills. Puts himself in a very good position and attacks the ball through receivers. Able to defend bigger receivers.

NEGATIVES
— Hesitant when breaking at times. Looks like he doesn't trust his eyes.
— Although he has very good twitch in short area, he lacks elite long speed.

First round grades

Now that Adebo is gone, you need another boundary guy.

With Lattimore and Adebo gone, our greatest strength has turned into an area of need.
