Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
I believe Rattler has more to offer than people think. He only had a few games with second and third string oline and receiver and flashed some nice moments. He needs to be given a fair shot and put in some practices and a few games with the ones to really see what we have.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Jalon Walker - LB
Georgia Strengths - Hybrid talent who takes snaps as an off-ball linebacker and on the edge. - Drifts downhill to meet blocks and constrict the run lane. - Good length to stack blocks or punch and pass on the move. - Twitched up with an elite closing burst to the football. - Rush attack is highly athletic and very natural. - Varies step cadence and entry angles, creating passivity from tackles. Weaknesses - Below-average size as a full-time edge defender. - Improved off the ball but still developing his instincts. Pro comparison - Nolan Smith 1st round projections throughout |
Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
I'm also high on the Rattler train. After all, he didn't play with the varsity squad last season. Still looked like a higher upside than Carr.
If the Saints take Sanders at 9, I'm ok. If they take someone later, cool. But like Rez said earlier, I don't think it should be Shough. I'm ok with Dart, Milroe, Howard, Riley in later rounds. Haven't really watched any of the guy from Syracuse |
Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Azareye’h Thomas - CB
Florida State Strengths - Imposing size and length as a press corner. - Stalls receiver’s release with a strong punch. - Crowds and connects to the early stages of the route. - Takes cues from receivers to turn, locate and play the throw. - Seeks to occupy as much of the catch space as possible. - Long arms are formidable weapons of catch disruption. Round 2 projection |
Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
I'm still anxious to get a top OL, preferably a LT so that we can get our stud, Fuaga back to his natural position on the RT! I really do believe that the quest for the next QB can wait, but without a line to give him thime, he's not going to be doing much except running for his life on most plays...
That being said: Sanders has had some of the most horrible lines in College Football since he's been playing. He could probably come in and do well right away with what we have. |
Re: Turning Attention to the Draft
Speaking of the draft, today I heard a pretty amazing bit of draft history. This year's first round, as it sits right now, is the first time since 1967 that every team in the league holds its own first round pick.
