Overall, Membou is a young prospect who is a loose, explosive mover with a dense, powerful build, good length, and a rugged demeanor that allows him to match up on an island in pass protection and deliver body blows as a finisher.

GRADE: 7.9 (Potential Impact Player — 2nd Round)
Love this guy! I get him every time in round 3 mock drafts

I believe he plays right tackle, which would fit nicely. I saw a mock draft from someone on NFL.com putting him in the top 15 picks.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft

Here's another guy that may be there in the 3rd or beyond that could step in as a starter immediately, at least in my opinion.

Chris Paul, Jr. - Ole Miss - LB

Christopher Paul Jr. transferred from Arkansas to Ole Miss for his final collegiate season after three productive years with the Razorbacks. During his Arkansas tenure, he compiled 137 tackles (68 solo), 15.0 TFL, and 6.0 sacks across 28 games, earning Second-Team Freshman All-American honors in 2022 and a spot on the 2023 Butkus Award watch list.

At Ole Miss, the 6'1", 235-pound linebacker elevated his performance, recording 72 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and four pass breakups through 10 games as a defensive cornerstone. His presence helped transform the Rebels' defense into one of the SEC's top units, particularly excelling in coverage where he limited receivers to 5.9 yards per reception.

Jeanty would be a disaster. We are paying Kamara 20mil to not be able to run bc our oline sucks. Then instead of picking oline or improving pass rush we get another RB who wont be able to run with our oline?

No RB in the history of the NFL is worth the #9 pick in the modern league. I would not draft Barry Sanders #9 with our line.

I traded back to 12 and swapped 93 for 44.

No wide receiver but impact players at all levels.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft

Anthony Belton - OT
NC State

In round 3, teams can look to get players who can make immediate impacts but could develop into essential pieces. LG is a huge need for the Saints in the offseason, and right tackle could be a need in the future if Trevor Penning does not get his 5th-year option picked up. Last season, the Saints drafted Kool-Aid McKinstry in the second round, even with three starting cornerbacks on the roster. Looking back, this decision was excellent due to Marshon Lattimore being traded away and Paulson Adebo probably leaving in free agency. New Orleans can do something very similar here at pick 71, and Anthony Belton would be that selection.

Belton primarily played left tackle in college, but at this year’s Senior Bowl, he also practiced at left guard. Belton is a fantastic run blocker and uses his strength to throw defenders out of the way. In pass blocking, speed edge rushers will get the better of Belton, and he needs to develop ways to deal with that. This is one of the reasons moving on the inside at guard could be better for his future success. The Saints can play Belton at LG for at least his rookie year, and then if they need to move him to either tackle position, they can.

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft

I wish for once we would trade back if there is not a game changing stud available when we pick.

We have more than 1 hole to fill on this team and it would be nice to see a couple of (lower end) 1st rounders or move down a little and pick up some 2nds and/or 3rds.

I like that the Saints have the opportunity to make the O-line and D-line much better with this draft.

Particularly the d line. O line could be much improved with a single free agent signing.

I'd also like to see them add a young offensive weapon at WR or TE

Re: Turning Attention to the Draft

Another guy rising up draft boards this week. I've seen some folks have the Saints taking him at nine.

OT Josh Simmons - Ohio State

How do you embed the video in the post? I feel like a dummy, but haven't been able to get it to work.
