No chance I’m trading and adequate tackle in this environment. I agree you give Peening another year and make a decision at that point. As far as drafting another offensive lineman that, defensive line and secondary is all anyone in the Saints situation should be drafting.

Realistically I think the only way we would trade him is if he is secretly considered to have character issues inside the building. At this point I think we need to focus on drafting a guard more than a tackle because I believe McCoy is getting older and had a lot of injuries this year and if we keep playing musical chairs journeymen beside McCoy it will shorten McCoys career. But at the same time, it is possible that people inside the building do have a problem with McCoy. You never quite know which mediocre/struggling players a front office will become discouraged with in terms of conditioning, preparation, etc.

Top priority should be interior OL. There are some beefy boys playing in the CFB playoffs right now who I'd love to bring in and secure the middle.
