When asked by Kay Adams they both seemed open, and even a bit enthused, by the idea. Also, any chance to post Kay Adams here is a plus.

I would also be interested in Drew Brees or Reggie Bush as a General Manager. John Elway won a ring as Broncos GM. Ozzie Newsome and John Lynch were great GMs.

Hell no. They don’t know **** about coaching. Maybe an assistant but that’s it. For Gods sake don’t let Brees get anywhere near the money. Dude is a horrible investor and money manager.

He's "managed" to have a current net worth of over $160 million. Not too shabby.

I wouldn’t be mad at it. More former players/HOF’ers should get a shot at coaching.

Well, Kellen Moore's background was as a player. Not out of the realm of possibility some day.

Great players rarely make great coaches. The Demeco Ryans are the exception, not the rule.

What are some great players that tried and didn't make good coaches? I was trying to remember some, but must have went blank. Maybe they all had enough money that they didn't want to deal with the headaches. :D

I did think of Ditka. Definitely a great player. He wasn't good at New Orleans, but won a chamionship with Chicago, right? Anyone else think of other examples good or bad? Succeeded or failed?

Primetime, maybe?
