I hate to say it but if we would save anything over 5 million I would post June 1st cut Carr. I am sure this would set us back another year but 50 million is a lot of money in a QB that gets hurt often.

It would save $30-40 million to post-june-1 Carr depending on how his new contract effects offset language. If he signs elsewhere for at least 10-20mil per year, and i predict he gets 20-25, we save 40 mil. However, the long term cost of keeping him this year is 40 mil, not 50. 50 is a meaningless cap charge number that relates to debt from past bonuses and restructures and past of that is sunk cost.
