Can you honestly say that any QB would have won in the situation that Carr was put into? The guy was literally getting killed back there. He's had no offensive line, subpar receiver play, ridiculously bad playcalling and not too many other things on the offense to help him out. People here just don't want to go through what we've been through the last few years. We want change and it's understandable. We needed a scapegoat and it's easy to point at him. That said, I still think Carr can be successful.

This is why I replied to Smash. You have a propensity to make a general statement, then start moving goalposts. This isn’t a debate, if you chose to not recognize that someone fits into your original requirement that is on you.

C.J. Stroud was the most pressured QB in the league. Patrick Mahomes was pressured around the same rate as Carr. He doesn't like to throw the ball into small windows or throw his receivers open. He doesn't use his eyes to manipulate defenders. He processes slow pre and post snap and gets himself killed because he isn't good at adjusting protection. Carr is his own problem.

I am not Bako, Oakie.... Have more coffee this morning and let's enjoy what this new regime has accomplished with this draft. It appears to be a real good one.

Good points. The deal breaker for me was how Carr responded to adversity, his lack of leadership and seemingly unwillingness to accept accountability.

That said, he probably responded the way he did because he was tired of being the scapegoat as you mentioned. He didn’t and won’t live up to his contract. That is on Loomis though.

You’re right though. People want change.

Funnily enough, exactly the same as Dennis Allen too, the guy that drafted him.

Just looking to shift blame and throw someone else under the bus.

Remember when the team wanted to get Jamaal Williams a TD and the offense changed the play.

DA apologised to the falcons and then named Jameis specifically in the media.

Then after DA was fired, Derek gave him credit for Rizzi's first win.

There are many reasons CarrFax is a mediocre average QB which little nugget games once in a while. And what you're pointing out is just one of them. Does anyone think that he represents himself as a Brees-like leader now, especially that we've seen him and his non-participation in any way since his January 1 tweet?

Re: DRAFT 2025 LIVE THREAD

Saints just selected a QB #40th (expected to contribute or start early) in the draft & Coach Moore handpicked his man to lead the team.

Derek Carr’s career w/l record is 77-92 & 14-13 w/the Saints. This is not good enough. The Raiders knew what they were doing.

The only QB competition I want to see at camp is Rattler vs Shough going forward.

As Halo stated earlier, Carr’s days are numbered in NO.
