With the 9th pick in the Draft, the Saints select Texas OT Kelvin Banks Jr.

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; This should give the Saints a great Offensive Line with attention still needed at the guard positions. Even though Shough is a taller QB, assuming he beats out Rattler (and Carr?), I don't think a 6'7" Penning should be moved ...

I thought his play at RT was average to above-average and for that reason alone I would like to keep him on the team.

Banks is our new LT, Fuaga moves to RT, Penning to G where he can also play RT. Leaves us with McCoy and Ruiz for the C/G. We have lots of competition for backups at T and G. Clapp is the vet for C/G. We'll see if Saldevieri can cut it with this new staff. Landon Young and Josiah Ezrim are decent backups. What an interesting year this will be for our OL.

We haven't had an o line this solid since the Drew Brees era.

Imagine what a clean pocket will do for our new QB

I'm VERY intrigued at the prospect of our QB not running for his life on 3rd and long. So, happy Fuaga gets to play his natural spot at RT.

I'm reminded of The Old Proverb: "May you live in interesting times."
