It's WAY too early. Their only "practice" so far in pads has been a walk-through. We don't know what the coaches are asking any of the QBs to do in practice. We don't know if the receivers are running the correct routes, etc. I'd give it until at least the first preseason game facing live bullets to make any judgements.

All I do know for sure is that the team was confident enough to select Shough early in the second round and guarantee his entire four year deal.

Rattler and Shough are both going to give you elite arm talent with some interceptions here and there. From what I've seen, Shough being flighty and erratic from the pocket is nothing new. It's on his college film. Same goes for Rattler's inconsistency in performance from week to week. Jake Haener simply doesn't have the physical gifts of the other two. His game has to be cerebral. Drew Brees level cerebral. If he can't do that we need to stop taking away reps from the other two. I'm interested to see who's the better runner of the two when preseason starts. I'm expecting RPO's and read options to be a nice part of this offense.

Hopefully Kellen can develop a running game to take the pressure off whoever starts at QB.

I am looking forward to seeing the QB's battle in preseason though!

I believe what we are going through right now is that total rebuild that many were lobbying for all along. Not jettisoning every veteran over the age of 30, of course, that some have proposed. Any rebuild will come with tough times on the field. But having seasoned veteran players, I feel, is crucial to a rebuild. They may be a step slower than the young guys on the squad, but they can relay what it take to maximize what talent you have. He may not own those 50/50 catches like he used to, but he can demonstrate the professionalism to work every day to improve yourself and build the team unity along the way. I believe those 30 plus year old vets can be the glue that can be used to build the new machine.

Develop? Are you talking about the guy who had a 2,000-yard runner last year? What would make you think that the saints wouldn't run the ball or that they couldn't run the ball? Especially when we have a very young quarterback one way or the other that's going to need that kind of support?

Quick observation…

Notice how Coach Moore encourages these young men (Riley & Kool Aid) on a daily? I like the way this current coaching staff builds confidence.

Total opposite of that trash staff we had previously.
