Looks like he threw it on his back shoulder instead of throwing him into a defender to get KO'd. And Bub Means just straight up dropped the previous pass.

Slightly better ball placement on that unintended back shoulder throw he could have done .
Receivers not getting open enough I am sure are a factor.
Let's see the rookie handle it so we can compare .
