I feel like both Jackson and Payton showed some flashes but were ultimately inconsistent.
edit: That's kind of an obvious statement. Poor contribution on my part.

"A former fifth-round pick out of North Carolina back in 2023, Richards has logged over 200 snaps at left tackle the last two years in Dallas while making a handful of appearances both guard spots (13 reps altogether). But this summer he spent more time inside, playing 69 snaps at left guard compared to 42 snaps at left tackle. He only allowed one quarterback pressure, a hurry, on 68 snaps in pass protection. But he was fouled three times.

If you include the previous two preseasons, Richards has seen 276 snaps at left tackle and 207 at left guard, and he still hasn't given up a sack (though his pressures total goes up to 9, all hurries). Kellen Moore wasn't in Dallas when the Cowboys drafted Richards, but obviously there's some overlap in what both staffs value at the position."

99.9 % of us saw it coming. Ross Jackson predicted it weeks ago.

Glad Coach Moore & his staff didn’t get attached to a “guaranteed contract” or these half ass attempts to tackle or make a play on special teams . Undrafted guys were doing more. Foskey just didn’t seem to play with any fire. Struggling against 3rd/4th rounders was a bad look this pre season.

I’d be more concerned about the scouting department & some of these high round DE selections … Davenport (draft capital), Payton Turner & Foskey (bust) … all gone.
