I wish we would terminate Mickey Loomis's contract and bring him back as GM of the practice squad with no guarantees. By every objective standard Gray has outperformed Loomis in recent years. But I guess none of that matters, its all about who your daddy is and how he put you in the will.

As much as $2.6M of that does not count against the cap if he's not on the week one active roster. Gray is a seven year vet so by releasing him they can bring him back to the practice squad after week one at between $17K and $22K per week instead of his full salary of $153K per week for the full 17 games ($2.6M).

Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports reported that Foskey will work out with the Chicago Bears this week and follow up with a workout with the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles next week.
