Haz will go down in history as the Coach that road a team not only into the ground, but helped them run out of town. Cuz I can tell you one thing if the Saint's had made a couple of trips to the playoffs and were 5 and 2 right now I don't think there would be as much talk of them leaving.
I am really beginning to think we should just let them go. I like to theory that if they go to San Antonio and LA gets a team in a couple of years that the NFL will still need another city to even out the teams again. New Orleans will be back in 2 or 3 years so it makes sense. We need a fresh start fellas. I just hope that San Antonio has the money to poney up with Benson in the future or his granddaughter because what goes around comes around and he will rape them too. Let them go and be done with it. We can keep the board and talk about the expansion team, upcoming high school prospects, the SEC and local high school football for the next couple of years. New Owners, New Team, New Players and a New City. We get to keep the damn name and logo Benson. You can call your new team: THE SAN ANTONIO RAPISTS and your logo could be Benson behind some jail bars. You colors are certainly yellow and brown. You know what the colors are for. |

Hey Deuce, we have 32 teams now. If the Saints move to San Antonio and LA gets a new team, which most certainly will not be the team from San Antonio they will have 33 teams. The Saints could be awarded the 34th team in 3 to 4 years in order to balance out the conferences again. Two divisions would have 5 teams in them. This scenario is certainly better than having 16 teams in one conference and 17 in another and having only one division with 5 teams, don't ya think? Don't you also think that New Orleans will be ready in 3 or 4 years?
The game this weekend will either allow us to keep the stinkin team we have now or set us up for an expansion franchise in 3 to 4 years when LA comes on line. Do you honestly think that 40 teams would be too much. Hell as long as the teams make money the NFL doesn't care how many there are. and they can have 100 for all I care, I only care about the team from New Orleans and who we get to beat up next week. I am of course speaking way into the future with that, " who we get to beat up next week remark". Cuz we damn sure can't do it now. |

Well from all of the reports I've been hearing, San Antonio will only be a temporary home for the team for a year or two until LA is approved, and then the franchise would move out there. Then, if New Orleans happened to get another team down the road, it would be at 33. But this is all speculation. Also, I don't really know how much bearing this week's game (or any game this season) is going to have on keeping the team in New Orleans. I think that Benson will do whatever he wants, especially if it means more profit in San Antonio or Los Angeles.
O, and 40 teams is way too much. The amount of talent that could play at the highest standards of the NFL just isn't around. There would be a dilution of the talent pool in the NFL (meaning we would have teams filled with a lot of mediocre players). A lot of people feel this has happened in MLB. But hey, I would love to see more teams if they could still be competitive on the field and in the local economies. |
