I think this letter was written by Benson, but pressured by the NFL and Tag. Either that or he didn't do it earlier because he wanted the New Orleans/State officials to get to the point where they will promise him anything to bring back the Saints. It's either a lie or a well thought out move. He may have just been waiting for the fans to start putting pressure on the State to retain the Saints. If the fans start in on the officials, he knows that he can get a lot more from them to keep his team in NO.

Smart man....but an azzhole.

We cannot allow any statements made by Benson, Tags, LA or San Antonio stifle our passionate statements and grassroots movements. Letter, e-mails and phone calls need to be more than ever now. When you have your opponent on the run, what do you do? Keep chasing him and throwing punches until you knock the sucker out. Keep up the pressure boys. Let them know they can't get away with the bull**** they are still talking about behind closed doors now.
