Paper Airplanes
Around the 4th quarter of the game tonight, it was obvious that the Saints were completely out of the game. After completely failing to entertain the crowd, the south half of Tiger Stadium sought to provide their own entertainment. Thousands, yes, thousands of paper airplanes were in flight from the start to the end of the 4th quarter in hopes that each individual plane would have made its journey on to the field.
Fans completely stopped watching the game and started watching the planes. Thunderous eruptions of the crowd broke out as one plane landed on the 35 yard line. It was the loudest cheer of the night. (Second Place: People Booing Aaron Brooks) I don't know if anyone on television or on the radio made mention of it, but sitting mid-to-upper level at Tiger Stadium, I was drowning in a sea of paper airplanes. I could only imagine what it was like on the bottom. The amount of planes in the air during that quarter was flat-out amazing. I for one do not blame the crowd one bit. We all wanted something to cheer about. When the Saints made great plays, we cheered. When the defense needed motivation, we cheered. Pretty soon the dispicable Saints offense took all of the wind out of Tiger Stadium. When the second plane to land fell to the 28 yard line, we cheered. |

RE: Paper Airplanes
The paper airplanes probably wanted to be on the field more than the Saints did tonight....
