Tom,Tom Tom

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I seen one guy at the game wearing a shirt that read "F (fleur-di-lis fleur-di-lis) K Benson." I thought it was priceless....

I'd like to have that shirt myself. Hell, that should be the team logo.

RE: Tom,Tom Tom

There was another shirt for sale the read, "Buck Fenson." I got a kick out of that. All in all everyone was comepletely supportive. Yes we boo-ed Brooks when he fumbled again and got the safety. But if anyone thinks other teams in the NFL, or college for that matter, never get boo-ed, then you've been smoking something.

And another thing Tom isn't considering. Do you really think if the team was in New York or Chicago that the press would be so nice to this guy and this team? I mean in New York or LA they practically run people out of town in the media. Benson would be served on a platter, and they are doing it for us to be honest. We are probably too nice and that's what makes New Orleans and this region so fun. The people are just nice.

1) I don't see what is so wrong with "the boo birds." I make less than $10,000 a year. (I'm a college student.) I'm a radio disc-jockey among other things. (production) When I goof up and make a mistake, I get to hear it from my boss as well as countless callers who rag on me because I pronounced Richard incorrectly. (I said "Rich-ard" instead of the south Louisiana equivalent, "Ree-shard".) And rightfully so. I'm getting paid to do my job. I better do it right.

These professional athletes are getting paid millions of dollars and they're 0-11 on third down. Thats completely inexcusable. They deserve to be booed.

2) History has proven that winning games is NOT necessary for the state of Louisiana to support the New Orleans Saints. Look at the team's total win/loss record in correlation with attendance and ticket sales records. It's remarkable. Benson would be an idiot to move this team. No other city would support an organization that consistently provides sub-par to mediocre performances each year. We, as fans, are just happy to have a team. Sure, we want to win it all, but we love our Saints. Win or lose.
