Brooks - Reading Defense 101

Did anyone catch the remark of one of the idiot broadcasters regarding Brooks lack of reviewing the plays? I thought it was about time someone actually called him out along with the coaching staff. Almost every other team in the league does this, even Favre still does this and he's a master at this game. Brooks and the coaches should take some lessons, but I really don't care now. I'm just waited on all of them to be fired so we can move forward. I say tank the rest of this year and get a good draft pick.

I think the original poster was referring to the fact that almost every other team has their quarterback on the sidelines looking at photographs of the field after they make a bad play. Many quarterbacks constantly study these print outs every game. A commentator, during the Bears game, said that he never sees Brooks looking at pictures of the field or..studying anything.

This is something that does not come up as often as the rest of the complaints. I don't see what is so wrong with this post.

Gambler, you can kiss my ass. I was just making a comment. These posts are opinions. I won't rip yours when you make one, so don't rip mine.

Rregarding Favre, it must have done something for him. He is a future hall of famer. You can't say the same for Brooks.

I can see why you would want us to tank the season Hotlanta, but we should at least wait until we are mathematically out of playoff contention. In other words, give it another couple of games before we completely give up.

Anyways off topic... you're from ATL and you support the Saints?! Holy smokes! I was born into being a Saints fan... I had no choice! Get out while you can or you will become an old bitter man with a beer belly the size of a watermelon. Damn I just jinxed myself... sigh.

I was born a Saints fan as well... grew up in South Mississippi. Believe me, I have been trying to root for Atlanta but can't give up on the Saints. It's a terrible disease.

My comments have really been taken too seriously. I, as much as anyone, would love for them to make the playoffs, hell, just win a game. But there are some major changes that will need to happen before we can move forward. I think after the season is over, mathematically at the earliest, we should start with the house cleaning, beginning with the coaches and then down the line. I love Haz, but something's gotta give.

Hotlanta, I called for them to tank at 4-8 last year. Very few agreed and got jazzed by a four game winning streak against garbage competition. IF we had tanked last year, after we were a "high school team," we had a chance at weiss, Crennell, Saban, etc. which I also called for. Now look where we are. Stick by your convictions bro. This team is going nowhere as long as we have Haslett, Venturi, and Brooks, and the only way to fumigate is a complete and utter meltdown.

Also, excellent call on the not looking at film thing by Brooks. I heard them say that too. On film he would have seen Stecker was WIDE OPEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD when he decided it was time to throw an INT, oh, after the second time the defense had given us the ball off a turnover. Get this clown out of here, and the guys who coach him.

If we are gonna be a bunch of losers, let's at least get some new scenery.

Umm... we are a long time losing franchise that can't do right. How many times have we won a playoff game? As a matter of fact, I do expect it to continue as long as Benson is the owner, Haslett is the coach, Venturi as our DC, AB as our quarterback, and not having two above average defensive tackles.

Once again, you say to stop blaming someone that is only part of the disease. Well he is a part of the disease and deserves to be part of the blame. There's nothing wrong with his statement or with anyone elses that puts blame on AB also.
