Haslett's tenure with Saints is nearly over
Thursday, November 10, 2005 John DeShazier The 2005 Saints are a mess. That's saying something for a team with a sloppy history that has one playoff victory in 38 football seasons. For the people on the football side of the operation -- specifically, Coach Jim Haslett and his staff -- the future probably is only going to get worse, in terms of their employment with the Saints. If Tom "The-Camera-Lens-Attacked-Me" Benson is committed to retaining his right hook and his franchise, the only way he can hope the Saints will play in front of anything more than vendors and birds next season in Louisiana is to get on his knees and take a T.O., or fire most of his football-related employees and hope fans take that as a sign he wants to make nice. http://www.nola.com/saints/t-p/index...5189166260.xml |

greetings, ref- haz
ask yourself one question and one question only...............
as a fan or a reporter, the question should be simply put............ coach, is'nt it your job to win games? answer honestly, and haz has no excuses, none................. it is time to rebuild and move on......................................... if bradshaw pulls off the buy however, i could see myself going through losing season after losing season, cause i believe he would at least admit it was his fault. and this i could really live with. imo, benson has sealed his fate with n.o. and it could not have come at a better/worse time. i , as many have gone through rebuilding after rebuilding.........i will go through it again. just keep the saints in n.o.......................smitty |

Nothing is set in stone for Haslett leaving... we're the Saints. We love mediocrity. |

hey papz, hope your family and friends fared well...........
i had my own hurricane in dallas, my sister.................. but that's another story...... i believe haz is all work, but does not, or does not know how to surround himself with winners. while he states he has, it only furthers my opinion he does not know how, or how to bring it to the surface if he has............. it's sad that benson did what he did, but don't let the door hit you on the way out. we all burn bridges, but at his age, well, that's not a good idea............smitty |
