I disagree...now is not the time for QB change.
That time came and went about 2 1/2 years ago. If AMac does not start getting some playing time then you can only come to a couple of different conclusions. 1) Haz is not really calling the shots, and somebody way up wants AB to play QB for some unknown reason. 2) AMac is not ready to play yet. I have a hard time buying into this excuse. I mean, it is not global thermo-nuclear war they are having out there on Sunday. The results of the game won't cause the end of the human race. Put the kid in and let's see what he can do. Anything he does will not bother me, and it shouldn't bother him, neither. How in the hell is he ever going to get ready if he remains on the sideline. Practice is never going to be the same as the game. If the SF 49ers can trot Pickett out there, or the Bears can send Orton, or any of the others they have put out there over the last two years....I don't think the world will come to an end if we put AMac in the game and he struggles. BRING HIM ON!!

As soon as we are mathematically out of playoff contention with Brooks at quarterback, I'll all for throwing AMac out there. Don't worry in a couple of more games, we'll all get to see what this kid is all about.

I'm with LB, why wait? Mathematical elimination? We play the Pats after the bye, and will be 2-8. We would need to win 6 straight just to get to .500. time for A-Mac. Let's see it before the draft. Maybe we won't need Leinart and can get a stud defender, or D'Brick. If we were 4-5 or something, maybe we could wait. But 2-7????? We're done.

I say wait because no matter how garbage Brooks may be, he gives us the best chance of winning. Heck it snowed in New Orleans last Christman, anything can happen. I'm not saying we'll win out, actually I know we won't, but it's just not the time. By benching Brooks, we're just throwing our white towel in before the fight is over with. We'll see A-Mac in no time. I give it one or two more games.
Anyways you heard it hear first... I think the Saints will beat the Pats in a very high scoring affair. And yes, I am crazy. I'm a Saints fan. |

papz, it looks like this team threw in their towels weeks ago. I am not saying I don't understand what you are saying, but it's reality time. We went through the easier half of our schedule 2-7. I think A-Mac would give us just as much of a chance to win as Brooks, who is flat out horrible at this point. And if he doesn't, he is a rookie. Kyle Orton is getting votes as mid-season rookie of the year. I mean come on. He's prob better than Kyle Orton.

Sadly, you're not going to see anythning but a straight dose of Fumbles until he dies or his arm falls off. LoomBoom wants his money's worth and that is that.

I feel we play your starters at least at the start of the game and play to win reguardless. Its fair play and could effect other teams on how they end the season as well. Its hard to tell if Amac is ready to start and judging by the presean he wasn't ready then... give him a fair shot to win the position in the off season.
