this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; "You don't do that," Brooks said. "They've got good field position and points off it, so it's not a good thing. I'm not saying he was right; I'm not saying he was wrong. But we were down by 14 points, ...

The leader emerges.....
AHHHH....Here is our fearless leader. Sticking his neck out to point out another player's stupid play. Very nice. How many times could this quote be made by a fellow teammate regarding the play of good ole number 2. "The fumble inside our 20 hurt us more than it helped us. Him holding the ball for 10 seconds took points off the board. He threw into triple coverage and it hurt the team" Smith was wrong. But he played a fine game and has shown himself to be a playmaker. Bring it big willie....grind vick's head into the ground. We've got no shot....let's make people scared to play us. Brooks was just confused because Smith is playing football with reckless abandon. He also caused a fumble that took points off the board after our D gave up a 98 yard drive and Brooks came out and went 3 and out....giving the D no rest in typical AB fashion. That got us back in the game. Now, Will has to be smarter than that. But, why is it that every time AB comes out as a "leader" it rings so hollow and seems totally contrived. His quotes are consistently embarassing. "It hurt us more than it helped us?".....that's freaking profound. |

I almost forgot. How bout calling out your butt buddy Gandy for the false start on 3rd down AB. He is actually on your side of the ball. That made 3rd alot tougher and took us out of (Carney's) FG range.
That play cost just as many points as Smith's play, toolbag. |
