Not a mockery, in my opinion. Within weeks after Katrina hit a decision had to be made by the NFL. If we think back, many stadium facilities were either used for relief or kept available for use. At the time there was no way Tags could commit to the game in the Gulf South. I'm probably one of few that think the league made the correct decision on this one....

I agree with Horn. The game could have been played ANYWHERE but the opponent's home field. LA, Tallahasee, Orlando, heck even Mexico City. There were tons of football fields all accross the country not being used. The League was more so worried about fill seats. They filled them alright, with Giants fans!
I think it also goes back to the bad calls and lack of media coverage. Not only is league not bending over backwards to accomendate the Saints and us fans (which I think they should be), it seems like they're being down right hostile to us. For example, we've have about 5 or 6 "offsetting" personal foul calls in our games. Now I'd argue that's a cop out call in almost every situation, but I think the league should have advised the refs to be a little more deferent to fustrated Saints after all they've been through. I think there's a huge difference between a player who's home city has been distroyed and family uprooted yelling at the refs for not calling a facemask and an overpaid, prima dona getting in an extra shove out of bounds because he was cleanly beat on the coverage.
