I don't care, a win's a win

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The thing about these Saints is: you NEVER know how things are going to work out. And tell me, when hasn't that ever been the case with this franchise?...

There was a time long ago when our defense was feared and our offense would control the game by controlling the clock all game long. There was a time when I knew Pat Swilling would blow Bernie Kosar's head off, and Ricky Jackson put Steve Young in the hospital. And Atlanta, phew... we beat them like a stepchild for about 6 years- they got us back in the playoffs... that was a great game.

Although we didn't win a playoff game, and believe me I was critical of Mora for not winning the "Big" game, we went to the playoffs for 4 out of 5 years, and those guys were so much more fun to watch than the team we have now it's sickening!

I agree with you BonB, we aren't a successful franchise, but I remember when it was... and our owner was cool and wanted to see us win, and he purchased the team just to keep it in Louisiana, and we wore the State of Louisiana on our uniforms.

I pray every year that we'll come back and complete some unfinished business from a better time.

Haz, Brooks may do just enough now to save their jobs again. I am totally disgusted that it takes your job to be on the line before you decide to do anything. I still think we lost the game last night and if the kicker would have eatin his wheaties the score would have been different and we would have lost. It appears that the draft will be lost now and we get another year with a bunch of losers. I AM SO VERY HAPPY, CAN'T YOU TELL.
