AB.....Astounding
Read a quote today from AB after the game in the AJC NFL wrap up section.
He said to Barber after the game (paraphrasing): "So, youre still baiting people, huh?" So...a college teammate who AB acknowledges prior experience of his baiting, baits AB into at least 2 of his 3 picks. If you knew that the dude had the speed, the playmaking ability and the savvy to do these things THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU NOT SHOW SOME RESTRAINT AND CAUTION WHEN YOU THREW HIS WAY?@!!! I just picture AB giving him a light punch in the arm when he said this....smiling.."aw man, you got me good today" If there is anyone out there who can give me an intelligent reason (outside of boosting his trade value or trying to lose the rest of our games) as to why this dude should ever lace them up and take snaps for my favorite team....please lay it on me. AMAC doesn't know the offense? Well, let's see if he can throw 4 picks AND a TD. That will be a step in the right direction. I called BS on the article last week praising AB. I don't care if he throws 4 TDS on Monday (it would be nice to knock them out of the playoffs), this guy needs to go far away from here. There is no amount of coaching that can keep a vetaran from throwing ducks into double coverage. The final pick was on first down...there was no reason to take the chance there. What does a coach say to a guy who has started this many games and still takes dumb chances to kill scoring drives? I wanna see number 5 on Monday. Put in 10 passing plays, for crying out loud. HOW BOUT A FREAKING BOMB...DOES THAT REQUIRE MONTANA'S FOOTBALL IQ? Oh, and not only did AB throw 4 picks, he missed 2 wide open guys behind the defense...we should have had 2 TDs early. Where's the petition to get this guy out of a saints uniform? |

RE: AB.....Astounding
I was at the game. On atleast one play in every drive, he had receivers streaking across the field wide open and he never seen them. Twice, Karney (the fullback) was at the first down marker with only a safety even close to make a tackle. If you ask me, that's a broken tackle and our fullback will be running full throttle to the endzone until someone is fast enough to run down field and catch him.
Horrible decisions. Horrible vision. Horrible throws. Aaron Brooks is just horrible. Get off of my favorite team so I have reason to cheer again, please! |

Been there for years now ....... When you read " Brooks had a great game " , do you immediately think " Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then " ???? |

RE: Re: AB.....Astounding
And it's sad that there is virtually no chance that Brooks will be yanked. Remember three years ago when we fell into a four game slump at the end of the season. We got our butts kicked by some poor teams and Brooks was one of the main factors in the losses. He played terribly. Haslett insisted that Brooks was healthy and not the reason we were losing. Delhomme sat on the bench while goofball Brooks ran any slim playoff hopes into the mud. After the season Brooks had shoulder surgery.
Lessons we should have learned from this. Haslett is a poor coach Don't believe a word coming from Haslett's mouth Haslett will never bench Brooks |

RE: Re: AB.....Astounding
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how Brooks stares down one receiver & then throws it in his direction. He doesn't even look at his other options. It's like he has his mind (what little one it is) made up as to who he's throwing the ball to as soon as they break the huddle. This guy is in no way NFL material. I don't think anyone else in the league would even take him as a backup. The sad part about it is like fact-o-bake said: Haslett will never bench him. Which in my mind is all the more reason to fire "Jimmy HasBeen" & his merry band of dim wits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
