We also can not trade him before the contract runs out. Trade deadline prevents that. At the end of the season(after the super and pro bowls), he will be a FA. |

Good call, whodi. No sense in trying to franchise him anyways. With his history of injuries and lack of production this season, we wouldn't get much for him. No one in their right mind would pay him in the top 5 DE average. Just let him walk on out the door with Brooks, Haslett, and countless others in tow.

The trading deadline has passed...no way to trade him....after the season is over, he'll be a free agent anyways....the Saints will get absolutely nothing for him....that's why he walks.
