Let me also say this does nothing to sway my feelings that the NFL is playing "good cop/bad cop." The committee, formed by Tagliabue, is doing what it was set up to do, which was figure out a way to keep the Saints in LA. San Antonio was never an option for this committee. BUT, Jerry Jones and Bob McNair have both said PUBLICALLY they would not oppose a move to SA. Now, if the guys who SHOULD have the biggest beef have no problem, I don't see why the other guys will either, except from a PR standpoint. This is all just posturing. Now Tags can get on a high horse and say, "Look, I even formed a committee to keep the team here. But due to the legal wranglings of the owner, we are forced to allow him to blah blah blah blah blah." After watching how Tags has backtracked in his initail FIRM committment to bringing the team back to LA, I am not believing anything he says until it is final.

wow are the other owners going to help with the cost of running the team or make up any loss benson has because they want to force him to stay in new orleans. real tough spot they are in. it is all being done because it is what they are suppose to do. really benson needs to worry about making a god damn winner because that would probably help sales or profit. what can they really do if he wants to leave. i am asking that seriously because i am trying to figure out if they can force him to stay in new orleans.

I hope that SOB, Benson, has to spend every penny of profit he makes (and then some)defending his assine position.
The only thing I wish I could see is Benson on the sidelines in the Superdome with his umbrella...shoving it where the sun doesn't shine and OPENING it! |
