TAMPA, Fla. -- James Dungy, the 18-year-old son of Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy, was found dead in a Tampa-area apartment, police said Thursday.

Hearing rumbles through my channels that this might have been a suicide. So unfortunate when bad things happen to good people.

Unbelievable. You know, I've been depressed for weeks. I lost my girlfriend of one year out of complete stupidity and I've been absolutey destroyed. However, when you hear of news like this, everything you feel becomes completely insignificant.

I thought I had it bad, but you HAVE to feel for Tony Dungy. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a son. I'm sure that even winning the Super Bowl now couldn't cure his heart.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Tony Dungy and his family.

Boy, life is sick, isn't she?

Amen Pakman, Amen. Dungy is a great coach and I am sorry for his loss. As the proud parent of six children, you can only do the best you can and it's difficult sometimes when you know you can't control everything that your children do their whole life. I have six wonderful children and if anything ever happens to them before I die, I will do the same and blame it on Brooks.

oh man if his son killed himself he is probably blaming himself. that is frigan terrible.i wish i could say that i hope he finds peace but he won't for the rest of his life. well at least i never would so. i would assume he wouldn't be able to either. that is a shame. life is really tough sometimes. i am not sure i would be able to handle something like that. i hope the best for him and his fam. that is just horrible
